With over 16 years of experience in healthcare marketing, business development, and operations, Marla has built a career focused on creating impactful programs and partnerships that improve community health. Marla earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Texas–Pan American and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University. Her work is rooted in a deep passion for public health, education, and bridging gaps in care for underserved populations.
Beyond her professional role, Marla is an active community leader. She serves on the boards of the RGV Partnership, Moody Clinic, Texas Healthcare Alliance Chamber of Commerce, and the South Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Internationally, she has volunteered with Honduras Good Works, supporting rural healthcare programs and expanding access for underserved communities—experiences that have shaped her global perspective on healthcare equity.
