
Tony Gonzales, Controller/Director of Revenue Integrity, Uvalde Memorial Hospital
Tony Gonzales serves as Controller and Director of Revenue Integrity at Uvalde Memorial Hospital, where he oversees all financial operations supporting a $300 million annual revenue base. His responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audit coordination, internal controls, and oversight of accounting for a network of 38 affiliated nursing homes. He leads a multidisciplinary team and works closely with hospital leadership to align financial strategy with organization goals.
His previous roles with Uvalde Memorial Hospital include Admission Director, and Business Office Director where he led teams across patient access, billing, collections, revenue cycle, and compliance – building a strong foundation in both front-line operations and bend end financial management.
A lifelong resident of Uvalde, Tony brings a deep personal commitment to rural healthcare. He chairs the hospital’s Productivity Committee, is a graduate of Leadership Uvalde, and actively coaches youth through the Uvalde Lightning Track Program and Tree City Youth Sports.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Sul Ross State University and continues his professional development through the County Investment Academy and STRAC Incident & Emergency Management Training.
