Get Out the Vote: 2026 Primary Election

 More

Keep an eye on the calendar – primary election season is beginning, a period which will greatly shape the midterm general elections in November. Election time opens the opportunity to ensure health care and hospital advocates make their voices heard.

The Texas Hospital Association stresses the importance of its member hospitals getting out the vote either during the early voting period between Feb. 17-27 or on primary Election Day on March 3.

The candidates Texans choose at the polls will make decisions affecting the health of hospitals – and their patients – for years to come as hospitals continue to navigate financial pressures, issues with access to care and much more.

On this page, you can download resources to help hospital staff spread the word to make a plan and vote: digital images for social media or for printing to use around the hospital; a poster for elevators, employee break rooms and patient waiting areas; and a sample email that organization CEOs can send to hospital staff to stress the importance of voting.

Every vote counts. Help THA Get Out the Vote and mobilize your hospital community today!
