Herron Mitchell is the Director of Operations with Parkland Health and Hospital System. He is Certified Six Sigma and an operational leader encompassing a diverse leadership portfolio spanning 18 years of healthcare, manufacturing, operations, supply chain leadership experience across multiple industries (automotive, food, education, and healthcare).

Some of his accomplishments include Operations/Project Implementation Lead for 2 Mega Drive Thru (American Airlines and Ellis Davis Fieldhouse) and 3 Walk Up COVID-19 Testing sites. Parkland held the title for the most federally funded covid tests in the nation. These efforts resulted in Texas Hospital Association naming Parkland the recipient of the 2020 Excellence in Community Service Award. He is also the Branch Director under the Incident Disaster Plan in collaboration with Dallas City and County. He is the operations lead on opening 40,000 square foot RedBird Health Center in southwest Dallas. He is Administration over four community oriented primary care sites (COPCs) for South Dallas county. He established the clinical budget and operational goals for the Southern Region with a FY21 Cost Savings of $2.09 million.
