Jason Wren, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, Wise Health System, Deecatur
Jason Wren, FACHE, is President and Chief Executive Officer of Wise Health System based in Decatur, Texas. An attorney by profession, he joined the Hospital in 2013 as its General Counsel and, later, Vice President of Corporate and Legal Services, before becoming president and CEO in April of 2017. Mr. Wren is a member and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, as well as the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Law section of the Texas State Bar. Before joining the Hospital, Mr. Wren had practiced law privately in a law firm setting since 2001. While in private practice, Mr. Wren handled litigation and other legal matters for a wide variety of clients, from individuals to large corporations, including clients in the healthcare industry. Mr. Wren received his undergraduate degree in business administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, and a Masters in Business Administration with a Health Services Management concentration from the University of North Texas. Following law school, Mr. Wren served as a briefing attorney for the Supreme Court of Texas from 2000 to 2001. Mr. Wren is president of the Economic Development Corporation’s board of directors for the City of Decatur, Texas, and a former member of the City Council. He is also a member of the board of directors for the Texas Hospital Insurance Exchange, the board of directors for the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals, the board of directors for the Texas Hospital Association’s Member Solutions, and the Texas Hospital Association’s Council on Policy Development. He recently published a book titled Love Hard: Discover How Genuine Intention and Action Can Transform Your Ability to Change the World.
