Mitch Akers, DPT, Director of Rehab, Eastland Memorial Hospital District
Mitch Akers is a licensed Physical Therapist from Eastland, TX and currently serves as Director of Rehabilitation and Wellness Center Manager for Eastland Memorial Hospital District. He has been with Eastland Memorial Hospital District for 10 years in direct patient care as well as administrative duties. In his current role, Mitch focuses on developing personalized treatment plans and building strong relationships with patients and families. He has a passion for the critical role rural health care plays in supporting local communities and is committed to working towards the sustainability and growth of these facilities. Mitch previously graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Animal Science before receiving his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Hardin-Simmons University.
