Yvette Woody is the Chief Nursing Officer at Mitchell County Hospital District. She is the senior leader over Infection control, employee health, core measures, respiratory, surgery, emergency room and medical surgical staff. Yvette is a COVIC-19 task force team member, working to prepare and implement process changes to meet needs of her community. She focuses on growing her team to advance education in all nursing areas by providing a grant to give each nurse interested in certifications. She has developed teamwork across the facility to manage the needs of her community through ice storms and COVID-19. Yvette assisted with creating a COVID shot clinic and infusions to adapt to the surge. She also brought on a new EMR system during the pandemic, which is going strong even with challenges. Yvette also created stress relievers for her team by providing color boards for down time.
