(March 13, 2024) — The Texas Hospital Association is strongly encouraging chief human resource officers to take part in a Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) survey on employer needs to help the board launch a new program aimed at plugging gaps in workforce development and bolstering the state’s workforce pipeline.

THECB’s employer survey will help the board determine “selection of curricular competencies for the Opportunity High School Diploma Program,” which will launch later this year. The program will allow adult students without a high school diploma to earn one while also being enrolled in a career and technical education program.

THECB requests completion of the survey by Friday, March 22. It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

THA thanks you for assisting THECB with your input on this program.
