Each year, HOSPAC proudly honors an exceptional hospital leader with the HOSPAC Star Award – our highest recognition for service and advocacy on behalf of all Texas hospitals. This year’s recipient is Brad Holland, Chief Executive Officer, Hendrick Health.
Brad is a passionate and consistent champion for THA and HOSPAC. A longtime leader at THA, Brad currently serves on the THA Board of Trustees and was board chair in 2024. He served on the HOSPAC Board of Directors from 2013-2019 and on THA’s Council on Policy Development.
During his tenure as THA Board of Trustees chair, Brad called on board members to engage their own leadership teams in advocacy – starting with HOSPAC participation. Brad continues to encourage hospital leaders across Texas to stand strong for our industry, engage in the political process and give generously to protect the future of health care.
As the CEO at Hendrick Health, Brad is a generous and longtime donor and advocate for HOSPAC. Under Brad’s leadership, in 2024, Hendrick Health contributed more than $32,000 to HOSPAC, making them the PAC’s No. 1 donor. Not only are Brad and the entire Hendrick team generous donors, but Brad also gives his time by attending key meetings with statewide leaders, hosting events with elected officials, hand delivering HOSPAC contributions and offering trusted insight on candidates that assist in HOSPAC endorsement decisions. Brad is a true advocate in action.
When the HOSPAC Executive Committee considered this year’s nominees, the decision was unanimous. Brad’s enduring leadership, strategic advocacy and commitment to the mission of HOSPAC make him an inspiring role model and a highly deserving recipient of the 2024-2025 HOSPAC Star Award.
The HOSPAC board is proud to recognize Brad for this well-earned honor and thank him for helping strengthen hospitals – and the patients we serve.

History
Created in 2009, the HOSPAC Star Award recognizes outstanding hospital leaders and trustees who go above and beyond to support HOSPAC, the state and federal political action committees of the Texas Hospital Association. Nominees for the award are submitted by THA membership, and award winners are selected by the HOSPAC Executive Committee.
