I’m grateful for the health care heroes who’ve significantly impacted my family’s life. There’s no better place to serve.

Middle of the night, newborn baby, serious symptoms, scared mom. Where do I go? I’m personally forever grateful for hospitals and the 24/7 special care we can’t get anywhere else.

I began my career as a nurse tech in 1991 and have worked in almost every aspect of a hospital. It’s my home away from home and I love what I do to serve those in need.

I’ve learned crucial health signals, like those for heart disease and stroke. Thanks to this knowledge, we recognized symptoms early and got my dad the help he needed. Hospital Week 5

My family has been in Yoakum for six generations and I remember my grandparents using the hospital in prior years. Rural medicine and hospitals provide critical medical services to the public. If not for the Yoakum ER, I would have had to drive a significant distance for care.
