Bradley Benham, J.D., Vice President, Hendrick Medical Center Foundation, Hendrick Medical Center, Abilene
Brad Benham serves as System Vice President at Hendrick Health, where he leads the Hendrick Medical Center Foundation in advancing the organization’s philanthropic mission. In this role, Brad focuses on securing support for strategic priorities and recurring healthcare ministries, including Hendrick Children’s Hospital, Hendrick Hospice Care, and The Hope Fund at Hendrick Health, which supports the fight against breast cancer.
A native of Abilene, Brad was born at Hendrick Health—just steps from where he now works each day. He began his career in higher education advancement, serving as Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Affairs at Pepperdine University School of Law, where he also earned his Juris Doctor. He later transitioned into private legal practice with two firms in Los Angeles before returning to Texas to prioritize both professional growth and family life.
Prior to joining Hendrick Health in 2021, Brad served as President of the ACU Foundation at Abilene Christian University for six years, leading fundraising efforts and donor engagement strategies. His leadership across both higher education and healthcare has been marked by a commitment to mission-driven philanthropy and community impact.
Brad is also deeply engaged in civic leadership. He currently serves as Chair of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the Abilene Planning and Zoning Commission. His wife, Janelle, a journalist and news producer, is Chair of the Abilene Zoological Society.
Brad holds a Bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. He and Janelle live in Abilene with their two daughters, ages 10 and 7.
