Adam Johnson, MSN, RN, Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Longview Regional Medical Center
Adam Johnson, MSN, RN, NE-BC, serves as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at Longview Regional Medical Center, part of Community Health Systems (CHS). In this role, he focuses on advancing clinical quality, operational efficiency, and patient-centered care across the organization.
Adam began his healthcare career in emergency medical services, working as an EMT and later as a paramedic. His early experiences in high-acuity environments fostered a deep appreciation for teamwork, critical thinking, and compassionate care. Transitioning into nursing, Adam gained extensive clinical experience in emergency and intensive care settings before moving into leadership roles.
He has served as a Stroke Coordinator and Director of the Medical-Surgical Unit, where he led initiatives to improve clinical outcomes, enhance staff engagement, and foster a culture of excellence. His leadership is grounded in collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Adam holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is board certified as a Nurse Executive and is committed to developing strong healthcare teams and advocating for policies that strengthen hospitals and expand access to quality care across Texas.
