Telemedicine in the Time of COVID-19

April 6, 2020

This webinar focused on how telemedicine can be utilized for physician staffing of critical specialties for rural and critical access hospitals during a pandemic. The speaker reviewed current demographics of COVID-19 patients in Texas, discussed cohort concepts for hospitals to share resources and the urgency for initiating a telemedicine rapid response program.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss current demographics and the fact that this isn't a 60+ only virus. Our demographics in TX appear to be different than China;
  • Talk about cohort concept and the fact that independents need to pull together and share resources to be prepared;
  • Review a rapid response program and the need to have a process in place.
