Deana was born and raised in Seguin, Texas to Sandy and Richard Cunningham. She is married to Russell Henk and has two beautiful daughters, Abigail and Erin Henk.

She is a graduate of Navarro High School, earned her BBA from Texas Woman’s University and MS in Healthcare Administration. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served as the Executive Director/CEO of Guadalupe Healthcare Network (GHN) for 27 years. She also serves as part of the Administration Team at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center (GRMC) since 1993 and in addition to GHN roles is now coordinating GRMC’s Physician Renaissance CME Program. As GHN’s CEO, she and her team help provide GRMC, Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital, Connally Regional Medical Center and around 300 physicians and advance practice providers in Guadalupe, Comal Wilson and Karnes counties with managed care expertise and contracting.

She has proudly served in many volunteer capacities at GRMC and within the local community over the last 25 years, supporting leadership development, Hospice and Foundation fundraisers.  She takes pride in assisting the medical community in coordinating weekly physician COVID meetings in Comal and Guadalupe County, hosting a weekly COVID meeting with Guadalupe County School Superintendents, City/County and Health offices, volunteering at community-wide vaccine clinics and providing PPE to her physician practices. She values her GHN, Physician and GRMC colleagues support, especially in the last 2 years, and blessed to collaborate with others to care for our community.

She has served on various healthcare committees and service organizations over the years and is currently serving on the Texas Hospital Association’s Policy Committee on Hospital Contracting and Payment.  She is a former 2 term Chair of the Seguin Chamber of Commerce and served as Industrial Relations Chair, Healthcare Committee Chair and Hot Shot’s Fish Fry Co-Chair. She was very active in the Navarro Community, serving on various youth organization including the Navarro Youth Sports Organization, Navarro Band and Sports Boosters. She now is a proud supporter of Seguin ISD and the Mercer Blumberg Learning Center.

She and Russell are recent empty nesters and can be found cheering for their girls at the UTSA games where Abbie is a member of the Spirit of San Antonio marching band and learning to be Aggie parents as Erin attends Texas A&M Galveston. She looks forward to spending time with family and her BFFs, participating in empty nester mom support group, and hopefully fishing and enjoying more of the beach!
