What can the Texas Hospital Association do for you? That’s what I’m asking at town hall meetings throughout the state from now through October. I want to hear from our member hospitals about their priorities, concerns and needs.
This week, I met with hospital leaders from the Bryan/College Station and Abilene areas. Generously hosted by the St. Joseph Health System in Bryan and Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, nearly 100 hospital executives spent the better part of the day with me and other THA staff sharing their most pressing issues and learning about THA’s priorities for the next legislative session.
I want THA to be a responsive organization that meets our members’ evolving needs. It’s also important that you all be engaged in THA’s advocacy work. We work for you, but the most effective messenger of the hospital message with legislators is each of you.
I hope you’ll join me at a town hall meeting in your area:
- Sept. 4: Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen;
- Oct. 3: Northwest Texas Healthcare System, Amarillo; and
- Oct. 8: East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System, Tyler.
I look forward to hearing what’s on your mind. To register for an upcoming town hall meeting or for more information, visit THA’s website.
