Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of hospital administrators and staff. 

Statement of Need/Program Overview
This conference is designed for hospital administrators and staff, offering a broad range of continuing education focused on enhancing hospital operations and performance.

Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Discuss rural hospital solutions for funding strategies, upcoming legislative policy changes and innovative partnerships with large systems;
  • Improve service line performance through marketing strategy that increases customer satisfaction, quality and safety improvement, patient care, market share gains and financial improvement;
  • Explore best practices for general and applied health care improvements in the areas of patient/family care, legislative policy, quality, finance, governance, health law and IT/Data;
  • Identify emerging technology trends and discuss/discover/examine how they will change the face of health care and the practice of medicine;
  • Explain how today’s health care leader will utilize different strategies and communication tools to achieve high performing results and explain trends in health care throughout your community;
  • Identify new legal trends and statutes that affect how hospital staff interact with their patient populations to stay in compliance;
  • Review how the results of the 2016 Presidential election will affect how we deliver access to affordable health care in Texas; and
  • Outline how to work with your board and internal stakeholders for better application of financial metrics to effective decision making.
