Kia Parsi, M.D. has been named the Interim CEO at CHI St. Joseph Health, St. Joseph Health Center - College Station Express, and CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital. He previously served as the St. Joseph Heath system’s chief medical officer.

Noel Moreno

Noel Moreno been named president at USMD Hospital at Fort Worth. Previously Moreno was the vice president of medical specialties and diagnostics services at USMD.

John Hughson

John Hughson has been named CEO at Memorial Hospital in Gonzales. Previously, Hughson was the CEO and chief operating officer at Scott & White Hospital – Brenham.

Kirsten Benjamin

Kirsten Benjamin has been named the administrative director of St. Joseph Medical Center in the Heights neighborhood of Houston. She is also currently the assistant chief nursing officer.

Peyton Elliot

Peyton Elliot has been appointed the CEO at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston. Previously, Elliot was the vice president of operations and finance at Houston Methodist West Hospital.

Mark Funderburk

Mark Funderburk has been named the president and CEO at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Previously, Funderburk was the Center’s Administrator and chief operating officer.

Ely Perea

Ely Perea was named the director and CEO at Lubbock’s Covenant Specialty Hospital in April of 2016. Previously, he had been the laboratory manager at Covenant Health System. This is Perea's first CEO position.

Ashlea Ondrusek has been named the CEO at Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital of New Braunfels. Previously, Ondrusek was the administrator at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Seguin.

Rick Napper has been named the CEO and president at Medical Center Health System in Odessa. Previously, he was the CEO at CHI St. Joseph Health in Bryan.

Kyle Price

Kyle Price has been named the CEO at Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital while continuing as CEO at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital.

Buddy Daniels is the new CEO at San Angelo Community Medical. Previously, Daniels was chief operating officer at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Matt Stone has been appointed the CEO at Baptist Medical Center. Previously, Stone was the CEO at Northeast Baptist Hospital.

Gary Malaer is now the CEO of DeTar Healthcare System and DeTar Hospital North in Victoria. Most recently Malaer worked as CEO of Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, SC.

Paul Harvey

Paul Harvey has been named the CEO of CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Winnsboro in addition to continuing his role as CEO at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Sulphur Springs.

John Buck

John Buck has been appointed president of Emerus, which is headquartered in The Woodlands. Previously, Buck was the CEO of Baptist Emergency Hospital in Schertz.

Lisa Salter has been appointed CEO at Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute, LLC.

LEWISVILLE

Frank Williams has been named CEO of Adeptus Health in Lewisville. Previously, Williams was the senior vice president and senior managing director of acquisitions for Medical Properties Trust in New York.

PORT ARTHUR

Ryan Miller has been appointed administrator for CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Mary in Port Arthur as well as president of ambulatory services at CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System. Previously, Miller was the executive director at CHRISTUS Health’s Orthopedic Specialty Center.

SAN ANTONIO

James Summerset has been named the Interim CEO at Nix Health Care, Nix Specialty Hospital, and Nix Behavioral Hospital. Previously, he served as the national senior vice president of hospital operations for Prospect Medical Holdings.
