Texas hospitals provided $5.5 Billion in unreimbursed treatment, putting pressure on employers and employees with health insurance from increased premiums. Federal funds for Medicaid expansion are covered through more than $500 Billion in cuts to hospitals and other providers over 10 years. As a result, Medicaid expansion not only provides access to care; it also decreases alleviates pressure on tax payers, employers and their employees.
