Continuing Education Disclosures - 2012 THA Annual Conference and Expo

Criteria for Successful Completion

To receive contact hours for this activity, participants should claim credit commensurate with only those sessions attended in their entirety and complete the Web-based evaluation tool within one week following the program. A Certificate of Successful Completion will be awarded electronically immediately following completion of the evaluation.

Organization/Individual Registration is required for verification of continuing education credit. Some national, state and local licensing boards and professional organizations will grant continuing education credits for attendance when you submit the course outline (save the brochure) and your certificate of attendance. If your discipline is not listed below for preapproved continuing education, it is recommended that you contact your own board of certification organization to find out what is required.

Continuing Education Certificates for proof of attendance will be issued to all registrants attending this session upon completion of the online program evaluation. These certificates should be placed on file at your hospital as evidence of attendance.


ACHE Category I

The session, “Using the Baldrige Criteria to Improve Your Organization’s Performance and Quality” has been developed and is presented locally by the Texas Independent Chapters of ACHE and THA. The American College of Healthcare Executives has awarded 1.5 Category I (ACHE education) credit hour[s] to this program.


ACHE Category II

The Texas Hospital Association is authorized to award up to 7.5 hours pre-approved Category II (non-ACHE) continuing education credit for this program toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward Category II credit should list their attendance when making application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.


Continuing Medical Education

The Seton Healthcare Family is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Seton Healthcare Family designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.


Public Accountancy CPE

THA has registered with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a CPE sponsor. This registration does not constitute an endorsement by the Board as to the quality of the program. This course(s) may be submitted to the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy for up to 9.0 contact hours.

The Texas Hospital Association is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Successful completion of this activity provides up to 7.5 contact hours.
