Advocacy

Advocacy is what THA is all about. When it comes to winning legislative battles, it’s one thing to understand the issues. It’s another to have the relationships that open doors to constructive dialogue. THA’s strong ties at both the state and federal levels, as well as its insight into the health care profession, have helped hospitals time and again. Members can count on THA to represent their collective interests – and be heard. In fact, members rate THA’s advocacy expertise as the single greatest benefit of THA membership.

The Health Care Advocate is THA’s primary advocacy publication. Each weekly issue features updates on state and federal legislative and regulatory activities affecting hospitals. When the Texas Legislature is in session, the Advocate provides the latest information on bills relating to key health care issues.

If you are a THA member and would like to receive the Advocate via e-mail, please contact Barbara Jean DeQuin
