Federal Advocacy
The Texas Hospital Association actively monitors legislative and regulatory activities in Washington, D.C., and maintains regular contact with members of the Texas Congressional Delegation. While health care reform legislation has passed, implementation will occur over the next decade. Work continues to address unresolved legislative issues, as well as implement regulations – such as the health information technology rules – that will impact hospitals.
Federal Legislators
Search for your federal legislator by ZIP code. You will find information about each member of Congress and a link to his/her Web site. Each member has a “contact us” page for you to communicate via e-mail with the office.

In addition to absorbing state budget cuts, hospitals already are subject to $155 billion in reductions as part of health reform. Use these materials to communicate hospital concerns to your member of Congress! |
