Dallas (May 26, 2010) - The Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) has announced a collaboration with HealthSHARE, a subsidiary of the Texas Hospital Association (THA). With the partnership, DFWHC will endorse all approved HealthSHARE companies in the North Texas region.

For more than four decades, HealthSHARE has partnered with the best companies in the marketplace to bring Texas and Oklahoma hospitals leading-edge products and services – at unmatched pricing. It provides Texas hospitals with best-of-breed products and services that help improve operational efficiencies.

“We plan to work collaboratively with THA and HealthSHARE in promoting the family of companies for our member hospitals,” said W. Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC. “This is a great opportunity for DFWHC and we hope to create similar partnerships in the future.”

Potential THA-endorsed companies undergo rigorous scrutiny of every facet of their business. HealthSHARE’s extensive due diligence ensures that the THA-endorsed company logo serves as a trusted “seal of approval.” Through HealthSHARE, dozens of companies hand-selected as THA-endorsed companies can be accessed.

Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council is a 75 member-driven organization with approximately 42 years of service to the health care community of North Texas. Governed by a 13-member Board of Trustees, the hospital trade association is committed to the continuous improvement of patient care.

Based in Austin, the Texas Hospital Association enhances its members’ abilities to improve accessibility, quality and cost-effectiveness of health care for all Texans. THA represents more than 85 percent of the state’s hospitals and health care systems, which employ some 355,000 health care professionals statewide.
